Thanks to a late-stage agreement, one of Cannes Yachting Festival's 'must see' boats this year will be sporting the 'must experience' propulsion package of a CXO300 high-powered diesel outboard engine.

The military grade aluminium deep V hull combined with a GRP deck and cabin moulding allows the XO Yachts XPLR 9 to combine the high performance, durability and rugged styling of a commercial boat with the usability and comfort of a leisure craft.

Bristling with innovative features inside and out this robust boat has been designed in Finland with offshore trips in mind, which with the CXO300 providing considerably more range than a gasoline engine equivalent, makes for a compelling mile-eating package.

"The XPLR 9 is an all-day or all week cruiser designed for year-round, all-weather use, and 300hp of relaxed turbocharged diesel power and fuel economy, backed up with a mountain of torque suits its go anywhere character to perfection," says Hugh Hudleston, Head of Sales at Cox Powertrain. "With the better availability of waterside diesel (versus gasoline) across all of Europe, the massive vessel range improvement, the more tranquil lower engine revs at cruising speed and enhanced torque and better holeshot, these engines help this boat realise its potential as possibly the ultimate sub 10m package for family adventures both near and far."

Lowering emissions that are harmful to our natural environment and doing so within a class-leading and robust product at a reasonable price have always been central to the innovative engineering and design of the market-revolutionising CXO300 outboard and continue to be key to the UK manufacturer's business philosophy, continues Hudleston: "Cox Marine is committed to leading the development of propulsion systems to produce lower CO2 emissions, and in XO Yachts with its relatively small boats providing outsized adventures for low fuel burn, we find a kindred spirit."

Cox Marine is opening registration for partners, OEMs and customers attending Cannes Yachting Festival who want to book an appointment to meet the new EMEA sales team and discover the benefits of the powerful, clean-burning CXO300 diesel outboard engine on Stand QML 344.

To register for a demo onboard the XO Yachts XPLR 9 at this year's Cannes Yachting Festival, please email Cox Marine's EMEA Sales Director Harry Heasman at .
