Euromarine Insurance Ramsgate Week 2022 Day 4

by Karen Cox 21 Jul 2022 11:29 PDT 17-22 July 2022

Sadly on Wednesday 20th July there was an incident on the water which led to the tragic death of a much loved and respected member of our racing fleet. Only one vessel was involved. We cannot comment further as both the MAIB and Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding it. Our thoughts are with his family, crew and friends who are understandably shocked. We remained available last night to support those who needed it.

Euromarine Insurance Ramsgate Week 2022 Day 4 began under grey skies with a heavy, humid atmosphere, which mirrored the sombre mood of the competitors. After a short service on the quayside to reflect on yesterday's tragedy and remember the much loved and respected member of our sailing family, today's races got under way, after the delayed start, in very light winds.
