Limited racing was only possible in the Nacra 17, 49er Gold and Silver fleets in the 2022 European Championships at Aarhus, Denmark. However the images were spectacular in the torrid conditions.

No official report is available, other than a commentary on the conditions and Australian performance www.sail-world.com/news/251327/Aussies-on-the-cusp-at-2022-Europeans

49er Gold Fleet: Britain's Chris Taylor and Rhos Hawes won the only race sailed in 25kt winds, with Jim Calley and Shaun Conner (AUS) in second, and with another Australian crew Thomas Needham and Joel Turner (AUS) finishing third.

49er Silver Fleet: One race was held in the Silver 49er fleet, won by former Laser (ILCA 7) world champion and Olympic Gold medalist Tom Burton (AUS).

Nacra 17: The Nacra 17 fleet started racing after several delays, in strong winds, however carnage ensued as the fleet rounded Mark 2 with multiple capsizes. Soon after the fleet started the second beat, the race was abandoned.

The 2022 European Championship from Aarhus run from July 5-10, 2022. Daily live broadcasts will begin on July 8th and run through to the medal race finish on July 10th. For more information and full results visit regatta website.
