Christine Bélanger was the driving force behind the Louis Vuitton Cup.

For over 30 years, she devoted her life to the event she loved so much. She lived in New Zealand during the 2000 and 2003 America's Cups and to her, New Zealand was her home away from home. Famed for throwing the most spectacular Louis Vuitton Cup parties, Christine also had a talent for bringing together the America’s Cup “family” at more intimate gatherings, nurturing life-long friendships amongst competing team members and those of the AC organisation.

She was well-loved by so many amongst the sailing community and her tragic death on 7th October this year has left us all reeling.

On Wednesday 14th November, there will be a gathering at the Dinghy Locker at the RNZYS to bring together all those who knew and loved Christine.

All are welcome and we hope you will come and share stories of this remarkable woman who brought so much joy to so many people.
