The first OK International Regatta of the season took place at Medemblik, Holland for the Spring Cup over three days of tough racing over 27/28/29 April. The World ranking event brought 52 competitors from Holland, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, New Zealand, and UK.

The first two days racing brought tough conditions with an offshore breeze meaning large shifts and pressure differences. On the third day winds increased and came from the usual on shore direction which evened out the shift pattern.

The battle for overall champion was hard won, but in winning both starts on the Sunday Charlie Cumbley took control with another Brit, Jim Hunt taking the runners up award. The 'on form' Luke Gower from New Zealand took 3rd.

Overall Results: (top ten)

1st Charlie Cumbley (GBR)
2nd Jim Hunt (GBR)
3rd Luke Gower (New Zealand)
4th Tony Woods (GBR)
5th Greg Wilcox (New Zealand)
6th Alex Scholes (GBR)
7th Saenke Behrens (Germany)
8th Tomasz Gaj (Poland)
9th Ed Bradburn (GBR)
10th Oliver Gronholz (Germany)
