Invergordon Boating Club held its annual keelboat regatta on Saturday 11 June. Conditions prior to the start of the first race were very light but the wind filled in before the start. Both classes started together and Unravelled the scratch boat in the fleet took a little time to work her way to the front. On the water Rhythm ‘n’ Blue worked her way clear of a bunch containing Circe, Duo and Edwen Santes.

At the finish Unravelled had not managed to save her time on Rhythm ‘n’ Blue so the the results gave Rhythm ‘n’ Blue the win followed by Unravelled and Edwen Santes. In class two there were only two finishers Fram followed by Heart of Gold.

The second race was sailed back to back with the first and the pattern was very similar, Unravelled in the front chased by Rhythm ‘n’ Blue then Circe, Duo and Edwen Santes. Circe and Duo had the advantage upwind Edwen Santes regaining ground downwind. At the finish Unravelled had saved her time on the Rhythm ‘n’ Blue. Edwen Santes and Duo tied on corrected time. In class two Fram was once again the winner followed by Windflower and Heart of Gold.

Overall Unravelled won class one, on count back, followed by Rhythm ‘n’ Blue and Edwen Santes. In class two Fram prevailed over Heart of Gold and Windflower.

Overall Results:

Class 1
1st Unravelled
2nd Rhythm ‘n’ Blue
3rd Edwen Santes
4th Duo
5th Circe
6th Lacushla

Class 2
