Boating Industry Association (BIA) of Victoria President, Andy Warner, has taken over the helm of the association to prepare for a major revitalisation.
He takes on the day-to-day management following the departure of general manager Clyde Batty.
Andrew Warner will manage the role while the BIA Board finalises its plans for a major corporate overhaul.
'We are in the midst of challenging times in the marine industry, but they are also times of opportunity,' he said.
'The BIA Board is well advanced with a comprehensive review of our future plans for representing the interests of Victoria’s marine industry.
'We will be strengthening our already strong government relationships, the Melbourne Boat Show and Melbourne Summer Boat Show, and the whole raft of member benefits.
'Until then I will be working with our administration manager, event operations manager and grants liaison officer to ensure it is business as usual.'
