Waka Racing reports from Match Race France

by Waka Racing Media on 15 May 2011
Waka racing have started the season with a fifth crew member and a WMRT Card SW

New Zealand Matchracing team, Waka Racing reports from Day 3 of the Match Race France, the first event of the World Match Race Tour 2011:

So today was very unfortunate for us. We lost our race against Bruni (ITA), and finished in a three way tie for eighth on five wins. The countback went bad for us, seeing Gilmour (AUS) and Marinho (POR) go through to take the final two spots in the quarter finals.

We finished 9th overall. It is a tough one to take but we had our chances and should be set for a better result in our next event. Match Race Germany, May 24 - 29.

Waka Racing would like to thank all our sponsors and supporters. Tax Management New Zealand, KZ Race Furlers, Line 7/Events clothing, Frontend Design and the RNZYS.
