Goseong is known as the ’Land of the Dinosaurs’ for its ancient remains, but will host the Korea Yacht & Boat in the most modern facilities in the region. MIAA
This October’s Yacht and Boat Korea 2010 has attracted more than 130 exhibitors from 14 countries with still more applications being processed.

The October 14 to 17 event is staged at Gyeongsangnam in South Korea from 10am to 6pm daily.

The latest exhibitor to confirm is Applied Technology and Management Inc (ATM) from the US. The engineering and environmental consulting company offers a full-service, turnkey approach to waterfront and marina planning, design and engineering. The company’s marina consulting experience includes work in the US, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Middle East, South East Asia and countries such as South Korea and China.

'The organisers, GnA International, are pleased with the confirmed exhibitor tally,' said International Marketing Consultant Barry Jenkins.

'This event is in its early years and is building to become a force in the region,' he said. International exhibitors can avail of generous incentives relating to accommodation and other costs.

Organisers confirmed Stebel from Japan would exhibit a Horizon 80 and Colombo 75 as an on-water exhibit at the marina. Wiggins of the US will exhibit its Marina Bull LoPRO™ while other exhibitors include Shinhwa Marine, Sunreef Yachts from Poland, Superior Jetties from Australia and French company Alliaura.

UK companies exhibiting include Topper International Ltd and Tacktick.

Other brands include global company Gurit, Edgwater Boats from the US and Korean company Komarine with Australia’s Tournament Pleasure Boats.

Yacht and Boat Korea 2010 features a wide array of activities and programs including a Marina Training Program by the Marina Industries Association of Australia (MIAA) on October 14.

International sports fishing competition, Korea International Sports Fishing Game, now has teams confirmed from Korea, Japan and China. Staged on October 15 and 16, the tournament is hosted by the Gyeongnam Provincial Government and organised by FS-TV and GnA International. Teams are vying to win the first prize of $US70,000 – part of a $US100,000 prize pool.

The Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do, Doo-kwan Kim will officially open the Show on October 14 at 6pm with a cultural ceremony expected to draw international guests.

Mr Jenkins said Yacht and Boat Korea 2010 is gaining a reputation as the place where Korean official dealers can meet with their overseas brand manufacturers for business updates and networking.

Yacht and Boat Korea 2010 is staged at Danghangpo (Danghang Port), close to the city of Goseong, accessible by air, road or rail from Seoul or the city of Busan. This year’s event is in a new venue, Goseong Dinosaur Park which is a major tourism attraction.

The exhibition is staged by GnA International Co Ltd. For details on application forms and the downloadable exhibition kit view www.yachtkorea.or.kr
