The Bureau of Meterology Weather site has been receiving more than the usual number of visits from the sailing fraternity in the last 24 hours.

It seems that sailors usually content to leave the weather predictions to their navigators are deciding that with the Suunto Sunday M9 wrist top computer competition closing this morning at 10am AEST, they have all been taking an interest in the weather.

Suunto, sponsors of the 2005 Palm Beach Regatta are giving sailors the chance to win the latest tactical sailing & navigation data instrument – the Suunto M9 worth $1,480

All you had to do is tell us what you think the barometric pressure, temperature and magnetic bearing from the start vessel to the first rounding mark will read from the Suunto M9 wrist watch, at the start of the first offshore division race (even if its raced inshore) today Sunday 20th March 2005 in the Palm Beach Regatta.

The entry with all three correct answers or closest correct answers wins! *

Entries Closed 10am AEST Sunday 20th March 2005.

Now we can watch the weather and the winner will be announced at 5pm tonight.

The M9 (Marine 9) from Suunto is the latest GPS watch from Suunto for sailors.
