The third China Cup International Regatta will be held from 30 October to 2 November 2009.

Inaugurated in 2007 by the Committee for Development of Yachting in China and driven by yachting enthusiasts from China and Hong Kong, this Regatta has developed rapidly from humble beginnings to what is now considered a professional, well orchestrated regatta attracting top class teams to compete in IRC and One Design Classes.

Facilitated by their purchase of thirty Beneteau First 40.7 yachts, the one design aspect of the regatta attracts the competitive sailor looking to mix it up with the world’s best in limited class racing, to pit crew against crew and tactician against tactician.

The program begins with three days of practice in Hong Kong, followed by The Simpson Marine race from Hong Kong to Shenzhen in mainland China and then five days of racing from the Longcheer Yacht Club.

Mariner Boating Holidays has arranged the ultimate stay and sail package for the China Cup 2009. Contact us on 02 9966 1244 or info@marinerboating.com.au with the word CHINA in the subject line to learn more.
