SOLING PROTEST- HEINER REQUEST FOR REDRESS

Roy Hiener, the Dutch SolinG skipper has lodged a request for redress
alledging that the tie.break procedure for the Soling Match Racing quarter
final has been incorrectly applied.
Heiner claims that he and not Kiwi Rod Davis should move onto the
semi.final.
Heiner had two wins and three losses in yesterday's quarter-final so had
Norwegian Johannessen and Kiwi Roy Heiner.
Heiner's elimination occcured after a count-back to the fleet racing results
where Netherlands finished in third behind New Zealand and Norway.
The International Jury will consider the request application on on Wednesday
morning.
