The RYA has worked out a deal with the Freestyle National Tour on Friday, giving FNT members the privilege to avail of race licences and other benefits under the RYA Powerboat Racing umbrella.
The RYA is delighted to announce that following discussions with representatives of the Freestyle National Tour (FNT), one of the leading events on the UK’s freestyle jet skiing scene, the FNT has decided to join the RYA family.
'Under the RYA Powerboat Racing umbrella FNT members will be issued race licences marking a major step forward for freestyle/freeride within the UK and will be working jointly with the RYA for further development of Freestyle and Freeride jet skiing in the UK', commented Steve Holmes, FNT chairman.
Other benefits of joining with the RYA will be that all competitors will be provided with Third Party Public Liability insurance whilst they are competing and during official practice.
The licence costs just £40.00 for the 2013 season, and will cover riders for two Freeride events, five National Flatwater, and the FNT/JSRA British Final.
John Puddifoot, RYA Powerboat Racing Manager commented: 'I look forward to a close cooperation between the FNT, JSRA, AquaX and RYA for the future promotion of the sport.'
