RS700 UK National Championship at Hayling Island SC

Noble Marine RS700 UK National Championships first day was held at Hayling Island Sailing Club. Steve Powell from QMSC takes the lead after two races.

The first race went to Jerry Wales the second to Powell. Jerry Wales was quick off the mark leading the 33 entries round Hayling Bay to take the first race of the RS700 Nationals with Steve Powell in second and Jon Heissig of Llangorse SC third. race two and Powell took victory with Simon Letten of HISC second and Tony Dencher of Netley SC third.

Day two of the Noble Marine RS700 National Championships was held at the Costa del HISC and Steve Powell from QMSC keeps the lead after three more races Friday. The first race (race three) went to Powell, the second to Jerry Wales and the third to David Smithwhite of HISC .

Steve Powell won race three of the RS700 Nationals with Jerry Wales taking second and Nick Miller of Marconi SC, who missed day one, taking third. In race four, Wales took the gun ahead of Miller with Tony Dencher of Netley SC in third. Powell finished fifth. Race six saw a new name at the front, David Smithwhite taking the win ahead of Jon Heissig from Llangorse SC, with Powell taking third to retain the overall lead, just one point ahead of Wales with Heissig in third after five races and one discard.
