The last few days of the RORC Easter Regatta has certainly separated the men from the boys. Wind chills well below zero, strong tides and a 40 strong fleet of Britain's finest racing yachts and big boat sailors are challenging the new team to get to the top level of the sport in just three short days.
However, as with all events Toe in the Water enter, the crew were more than up for the challenge. The improvements in teamwork and commitment are shown through the gradual improvement from a ninth place in the first race to attaining a second place in the penultimate race today.
For the injured servicemen and women, this event has sparked a new resurgence in their path to recovery which has come from an unexpected avenue which demands team work and dedication to achieve above and beyond all expectations.
Looking ahead to the races tomorrow which will hopefully see the Toe in the Water crew achieving their first place of the 2013 season.
