Higher Ground - winner on Sunday at Ponsonby CC Winter Series sailing in the Bay of Islands Sailing Week 2011 Christine Webb
Ponsonby Cruising Club Racing 18th & 19th June: Sunday came up with some long awaited fresh conditions for the Ponsonby Cruising Club's Winter Series.

North westerlies gusting up to 25 knots resulted in quite a few spills and thrills, one person overboard, but safely recovered. 18 boats in the spinnaker division and most of them managed to arrive at Resolution Buoy at the same time, giving rise to some colourful language, but nothing that couldn't be resolved over a much deserved rum at the clubhouse later.
