Pittwater to Pittwater - five yachts now finished

Three more yachts have crossed the finish line in the 210nm race Pittwater to Pittwater race. Two Farr 40OD are now home with Jeff Carter's 'Revolution Edake' (RPAYC) the first of these to finish, third over the line and first in the PHS Division, who completed her journey at 2:54pm in an elapsed time of 26 hrs 54mins and 55 secs.
Following just under 50 minutes after her was Matthew Short's 'Short Shipped' in an elapsed time of 27hrs 42mins 13secs to finish fourth. 'Short Shipped', representing the RMYC Port Hacking is competing in the IRC Division.
The Swan 45 'Tulip' (the former Ginger) now owned by Bernie Van't Hof out of the CYCA was fifth over the line, sailing in IRC with a finish time of 27hrs 46 mins 15secs, four minutes behind 'Short Shipped'.
A number of navigators have now radioed their final ETA's to the Race Committee from Bangally Head, North Avalon (as part of the event's Navigator's Trophy). Included amongst these as Bill Ebsary's Le Billet' , the Beneteau 44.7 and the 3rd of the the Farr 40 OD fleet 'Brannie Three' owned by Chris Bran from the Cronulla Sailing Club. Bothe are due over the line at 4:35pm.
At this stage Steven David's 'Wild Joe' is still in front on corrected time IRC and leading the overall handicap after her line honours finish this morning just after 8am. 'Spirit of Qld' finished second over the line but on corrected time she is well out of contention for handicap honours.
One retiree from the race so far with Dennis Cooper Sydney 36 CR 'Amante' opting for an early route back to the CYCA as she pulled out of the race mid afternoon.
