New Zealand 2012 Olympic representatives in the Mens Doublehander (470), Paul Snow-Hansen and Jason Saunders, have finished second in the fifth round of the ISAF World Cup sailed in Medemblik, Holland.

New Zealand crews competed in three other events in the regatta which is a build up for the Skandia Sail for Gold Regatta in eary June, being sailed at the 2012 Olympic regatta venue of Weymouth. However many of the top competitors in the Olympic classes chose not to compete in the Delta Lloyd Regatta, which is usually one of the premier events on the European calendar.

In the heavyweight Mens Singlehander (Finn), Matt Coutts finished fifth overall, and was only three points off third place in the 20 boat fleet, which was won by Caleb Paine (USA).

Steff Williams was 11th in the Womens Windsurfer (RS:X) in the 18 entry fleet. She just missed the cut for the medal race, but scored five top ten placings in the Fleet racing section of the regatta.

Two New Zealand crews looking to win selection for the 2012 Paralympics competed in the Singlehanded 2.4mtr class in a 20 boat fleet. Former top Flying Dutchman helmsman, Paul Francis (Auckland), finished in 11th place overall in the one man keelboat, with Flying Fifteen helmsman, Brett Willcock (Christchurch) in 12th overall. The fleet included a mix of able bodied and paralympic qualified sailors.
