NEW 41ft Seawind 1250 Sanctuary Cove Boat Show

Seawind 1250 Seawind Catamarans
Australia's largest sailboat builder, Seawind Catamarans, is set to exhibit the world's newest blue water cruising catamaran at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show on May 20-23, 2010. This will be the first time the new Seawind 1250 model has been exhibited in Australia since its launch in October 2009.

Since then it has successfully accomplished a 6,000 nautical mile blue water sea trial along the east coast of Australia, across Bass Strait and across the Tasman to New Zealand and back. Seawind's Managing Director explains the reasons for such an extensive testing program, 'When we designed the Seawind 1250, we were serious about building a true blue water cruiser that we can have upmost confidence in and that will can handle the toughest conditions in the world.'

'So we put the boat through the most rigorous sea trial we could think of and from my personal experience sailing across Bass Strait and reports back from our delivery skipper sailing the Tasman, we are extremely happy with the boat's performance.'

This brand new design encompasses 27 years of multihull design and manufacturing from Seawind's experienced design team of sailors, who have created an ocean going catamaran that offers the highest level of engineering, quality of finish and performance. With over a million dollars worth of new tooling and design investment, Seawind are looking forward to rolling out this new production line in the brand new purpose built facility in Russell Vale (Wollongong - Australia) using a climate controlled resin infusion lamination bay for superior fibreglassing quality and strength, essential elements for a blue water cruiser.

The Seawind 1250 will be available for sea trials during and immediately after the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show.

The Seawind 1250 will also be available to inspect this weekend at the Seawind Sailing Show at Birkenhead Point Marina in Sydney.
