Lake Ontario 300 - The race is on!

We hope everyone has a great experience at this year's Lake Ontario 300 Challenge.

It has been a long year of preparation and our committee has already started to greet the early arrivals. Yellowbrick Tracking is on site doing their final preparations and banners, booths etc., are being set up. The excitement has already started and should flow right through to our post race party on Tuesday when we get to hear all the tales and celebrate what the challenge.

The only thing we don't have under control is the weather and we have Ron Bianchi to inform us about that.
Congratulations to all participants for making it this far, we look forward to seeing everyone off and on the water over the next few days.

CP24 Breakfast Television
Friday July 20th starting at 7:00am Channel 24 Breakfast Television will be live on site at Port Credit Yacht Club to take in our event and planning. Make sure you tell your friends and colleagues to turn on and check us out!

2012 Retail Program
Once again Mason's Chandlery will be on site with an excellent apparel program for this year's race and will also have a supply of any last minute items. If you require anything in advance please feel free to contact Mason's Chandlery and they can have it waiting for you.

If you wish to have your boat name or crew names embroidered on your shirt or jackets, we will have an overnight service available, offered by Mason's.

Friday Night Skippers Meeting
A special welcome is extended to Councillor Jim Tovey from Ward 1 in Mississauga who will be joining us on Friday evening to represent the City of Mississauga.

Mr. Sheldon Libfeld, President of The Conservatory Group will be joining us for Friday evening festivities and will be onsite to watch the start of the race on our True North Sponsor boat.

Mr. Steve Levely, Vice President Sales will also be around for the entire weekend to take in the festivities. Please take time to welcome our guests and thank them for their support in making this one of the greatest races on the lakes.

The teams are pretty well set for this year's race. There are some very competitive contenders for the team challenge title, which will make watching this year's race via the internet a lot more exciting for many yacht club members. Don't be afraid to send in your thoughts on the teams.
