La Solitaire du Figaro : un doublé pour Roscoff et la baie de Morlaix

Dévoilé ce jeudi à Paris dans le cadre de l'ouverture du salon nautique, le parcours 2014 de La Solitaire du Figaro-Eric Bompard cachemire a révélé un doublé historique. Ainsi, le port de plaisance de Roscoff recevra en juin prochain une nouvelle étape de la célèbre épreuve, et ce pour la deuxième année consécutive. Un fait rare dans l'histoire de la course qui vient souligner la réussite de la première escale organisée en 2013 et renforcer les liens tissés entre l'organisateur Pen Duick, la Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Morlaix et la flotte des figaristes.

Après le coup d'envoi donné à Deauville et une première halte à Plymouth en Angleterre, Roscoff sera le seul port breton au programme de la 45ème édition. Les navigateurs y feront relâche après les 535 milles du plus long chapitre du tracé 2014.

Le port de plaisance de Roscoff accueillera donc les visiteurs, les marins et leurs équipes du mardi 17 juin, date de l'ouverture du village, au dimanche 22 juin, pour le départ de la troisième étape à destination de la Vendée. Six jours de fête et d'animations viendront ponctuer les retrouvailles entre La Solitaire et la baie de Morlaix, avec en point d'orgue, l'inauguration officielle des installations du port de plaisance de Roscoff dont le chantier avait débuté en 2009. Depuis son ouverture, celui-ci ne cesse de faire des émules et s'inscrit comme un refuge idéal, accessible à toute heure, pour les nombreux plaisanciers qui croisent dans les eaux du Nord de la Bretagne.

Avec une nouvelle étape de La Solitaire du Figaro-Eric Bompard cachemire, Roscoff et la baie de Morlaix rentrent dans le livre des belles escales de ce rendez-vous incontournable de la course au large.

A noter que Roscoff sera à l'honneur par deux fois pour l'édition 2014 de La Solitaire puisque les figaristes viendront virer devant la pointe d'Astan lors de la première étape entre Deauville et Plymouth.

Un grand merci à Pen Duick et à la Région Bretagne d'avoir choisi de nouveau la baie de Morlaix et le port de Roscoff comme étape de La Solitaire du Figaro. ?Ce choix confirme, s'il en était besoin, la pertinence des chantiers engagés à Roscoff depuis 2009. La construction de ce nouveau port de plaisance, accessible à toutes heures et situé à la croisée des grandes routes maritimes du nord de l'Europe est une chance pour notre territoire!

Le port de plaisance de Roscoff est déjà très convoité, notamment par les nombreux événements nautiques qu'il reçoit depuis son ouverture : Solitaire du Figaro bien-sûr, Tour du Finistère, Route des Princes, Festival Entre Terre et Mer, stand by météo de la Jacques Vabre, national Muscadet, croisière du Royal Yacht Squadron 2014… Et également au regard des statistiques de fréquentation de cette deuxième année d'exploitation : un taux de remplissage de 75 % avec 470 locations à l'année et 4200 bateaux de passage en 2013 soit deux fois plus qu'en 2012.

Depuis toujours, la stratégie de notre établissement a été de favoriser l'émergence de projets dans le domaine du nautisme. Par ce dynamisme, c'est toute une filière économique que la CCI soutient et souhaite voir se développer sur son territoire. La baie de Morlaix doit devenir le nouveau grand pôle de la plaisance en Bretagne et nous y travaillons.'
