La 10ème Route du Rhum partira le dimanche 2 novembre 2014 !

Le dimanche deuxième novembre 2014, le coeur des solitaires battra au rythme de la plus mythique des courses transatlantiques. Créée en 1978 par Michel Etévenon avec les collectivités de Saint-Malo, la région Bretagne et la région Guadeloupe, organisée par Pen Duick depuis 2006, la prochaine Route du Rhum réunira un plateau exceptionnel pour célébrer sa 10ème édition.

Des remparts de la cité corsaire à la chaleur de Pointe-à-Pitre, près de 80 concurrents sont attendus pour faire de cette édition anniversaire une épreuve inoubliable. Une ligne, un jour et une heure de départ uniques pour un rendez-vous avec l'Histoire : Dimanche deuxième novembre 2014.

Dans la dernière ligne droite avant le départ, Saint-Malo accueillera les participants dans les bassins Vauban et Duguay-Trouin du vendredi 24 octobre au dimanche deuxième novembre. Deux villages d'animations et d'expositions prendront place sur les quais. Ils seront ouverts au public et gratuits.

Fidèle à ses valeurs originelles, La Route du Rhum 2014 accueillera tous les voiliers, multicoques et monocoques, à partir de 39 pieds, des Ultimes aux représentants de la Classe 40, en passant par les Imoca et les Multi50. A ces quatre classes s'ajoutera la catégorie Rhum qui réunira notamment les bateaux qui ont fait la légende et l'histoire de cette transatlantique en solitaire.

Début des inscriptions au salon nautique de Paris, du septième au 15 décembre 2013.
