Key West 2013 provided bigger breeze conditions for the Melges 32 Fleet on Wednesday as Andrea Pozzi on Bombarda remained on top of the leader board while Vincenzo Onorato on Mascalzone Latino kept within striking distance at second place.

Pozzi exploded onto the scene, taking an immediate and aggressive stance to win the first race of the day. It's obvious that the big breeze conditions played to his best advantage. Joel Ronning aboard Catapult had a fantastic race placing second, while Keisuke Suzuki on Swing claimed third.

Jackson, a veteran Melges 32 owner, finally got his due as he won Race Seven in a potential full series of twelve. 'The conditions here in Key West were incredible today.' commented Jackson post racing. 'It was a beautiful day to be out racing. In the first race, we were off a little, but our sail combination in Race Two was perfect. And, I can't say enough about racing with Paul (Goodison). Tactically, Paul did a great job and put us right where we needed to be in order to win. We hope for more of the same tomorrow and Friday.' Pozzi finished second and Vincenzo Onorato's Mascalzone Latino was third.

With seven races now complete and a discard in play, Pozzi has the lead, positioned three points ahead of Onorato, while Japan's Suzuki remains in third. Clearly, Pozzi is now on guard to protect the overall lead as Onorato and Suzuki remain within striking distance of the top spot.
