The Marine Trades Challenge was staged again this year with teams of young apprentices from 15 organisations and three schools participating.

Their task was to build a boat from supplied kit inside three hours, and then then paddle, sail and finally motor their craft around a triangular course.

And yes, there were a few casualties - but all was taken in good humour and the teams shall remain nameless.
