Honda was the pride of the fleet in the recent Club Marine Trailer Boat Fishing Tournament held at Nelson Bay (NSW).

A joint effort between Honda Australia and NSW-based dealer Webbe Marine saw 12 Honda-powered Sailfish Catamarans entered into the event, which turned a lot of heads among the 1100+ competitors.

Honda territory manager Mark Suttle said the event was a fantastic opportunity to introduce a large number of anglers to the benefits of Honda four-stroke outboards.

'While an impressive number of the 520+ boats in the tournament were powered by Honda outboards, we answered a lot of questions from other boat owners looking to upgrade their current engines,' Mr Suttle said.

'Being able to experience firsthand the smooth, powerful and fuel-efficient operation of Honda outboards, I reckon many of the people we spoke with are now correctly looking at Honda’s advanced four-stroke technology in a far superior light to any of our competition.'

Held the weekend prior to Easter every year, the Trailer Boat Fishing Tournament has grown to be one of the most popular family fishing tournaments in Australia.

Regularly attracting over 500 boats with people travelling from all over the country, anglers compete for over $120,000 in species and lucky draw prizes, at the same time increasing their fishing skills and generally having a great time!
