The Royal Southampton Yacht Club and Harken UK have teamed up to provide a new Series of races to be run on the first four Sundays in September 2013 under the banner of the Harken Autumn Series.

The Series will comprise eight races with two discards. There’ll be two races each Sunday from first to 22nd September and the first warning each day will be at 10 AM in the vicinity of South Coast Sailing Buoy. Harken will provide daily AND Series prizes for IRC, MOCRA and Club rated boats to be presented at a single grand prizegiving at the RSYC Ocean Village Clubhouse after the last race on Sunday 22nd September.

• All RSYC racing is open to all-comers
• Extra classes will be provided for any group of at least six boats of a single type.
• No late race entry fees – Series fee just £50. Daily fee (2 races) just £18.

Harken is a leading manufacturer of quality sailing hardware and accessories. Harken gear has dominated such events as the America’s Cup and the Olympics. Their blocks, travelers, furling systems and winches can be found aboard boats from the smallest dinghies to the largest megayachts and cruisers.

The Royal Southampton Yacht Club is the only Solent Club to provide truly year-round racing organised by possibly the largest and most experienced race management team in the region.

Entries can be made online via the RSYC website www.rsyc.org.uk/racing or by contacting the Sailing Secretary, Royal Southampton Yacht Club
