Four Firsts for Riviera at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show

by Stephen Milne on 18 Mar 2010
The 56 Open Flybridge will make its first Queensland appearance at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show Ross Eason
Riviera, Australia's most awarded pleasure boat builder will spark excitement when the much-anticipated 43 Open Flybridge makes its world debut in conjunction with the inaugural Queensland display of three new models at the 22nd annual Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May.

The 5000 Sport Yacht with Zeus, the 51 Enclosed Flybridge with IPS and the 56 Open Flybridge have never before been seen at Sanctuary Cove and will make their debut this year.

As one of the show's founding exhibitors, Riviera enjoys a 22 year history at Sanctuary Cove and will be in their familiar location at the beginning of F Marina.

Riviera CEO John Anderson said Riviera was really looking forward to this year's show.

'The market is clearly on the return in Australia in 2010 and we have positive expectations for a good show,' Mr Anderson said.

'Riviera is proud to host the world launch of the new 43 Open Flybridge here on the Gold Coast at one of Australia's most esteemed boat shows.

'We have received a lot of interest in this new model in the past few weeks since we released preliminary plans and have several potential buyers travelling from overseas and interstate to view this 43 at the show.'

A real head turner, the new 43 Open Flybridge will be among 12 boats valued at more than AUD $14 million featured at the Riviera display.

Covering more than 2362 square metres, the Riviera display will showcase Riviera's latest designs including from the Sport Yacht range; the 3600 with IPS, the 4400 with IPS, the 5800 with IPS, and for the first time at Sanctuary Cove, the 5000 with Zeus drives; from the Flybridge range; the world release of the new 43 Open, the 38, 47, and for the first time at Sanctuary Cove, the 51 Enclosed Flybridge with IPS and 56 Open and 56 Enclosed Flybridges will be on display; the 43 Offshore Express will also be showcased at the floating display.

The new 43 Open Flybridge brings the outdoors in, creating an alfresco environment with a seamless transition between the expansive cockpit and the contemporary leather and varnished cherry interior – a new generation of flybridge design for Riviera. Below decks there is sleeping accommodation for up to six in two large cabins with two bathrooms.

The three cabin, two bathroom, single-level living design of the 5000 Sport Yacht with Zeus drives makes for a refreshing, open design featuring an aft galley and fold-up awning window that opens the saloon right out into the cockpit – perfect for entertaining with a walk-around deck and tender garage.

Bringing luxury boating to a new level is the 51 Enclosed Flybridge with IPS which offers an additional space amidships including a generous area for storage, cockpit furniture and stowing diving and fishing gear. An all new flybridge design with an impressive new wrap-around helm provides ample room for electronics. Three elegant cabins0. offer sleeping accommodation for six.

The 56 Open Flybridge design brings the outdoors in with its huge open flybridge design where you can relax on the day bed or the U-shaped five seater lounge under the low-profile hardtop. The helm console raises to reveal the electronics and when lowered helps convert the flybridge to an outdoor room

Mr Anderson said 2010 was proving to be a positive year for the company with strong demand for the latest new model releases both domestically and internationally.

'The recent success at the Miami International Boat Show and Auckland International Boat Show is a sure sign confidence is returning to the luxury boat market and we expect to see pleasing results at Sanctuary Cove,' Mr Anderson said.

Riviera will be among 400 exhibitors at this year's Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show which will be held from May 20-23 and draws more than 40,000 boating enthusiasts from Australia, India, Taiwan, China, Korea, United Arab Emirates, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, the UK, the US, New Zealand, Spain and the Philippines.

Riviera offers 20 different models from 36 to 85 feet across four model series Flybridge, Sport Yacht, Offshore Express and Motor Yachts.
