21 - European Springtime Yngling Championships Elena Giolai
It was a perfect day for The European Springtime Yngling Championships today at Riva del Garda . Three races were completed in favourable, southerly winds of 14 knots bringing to a total of seven races completed.

Tomorrow sees the end of the event with one race still to go. Sun, wind and great sailing were the stars of this, the third day of competition which saw quite a big change in the overall standings partly due to the discarding round being brought in. Taking the lead with a 3-1-2 was the Dutch crew led by Jan Deen ( with Oost Sander and Van Der Zee Steven), who tops the leader board with a 4 point advantage over fellow Dutchmen Gietema, Kuiters and Tromp who today took 2 firsts and a ninth. In third place are last year's winners Maarten, Smolder and Berens who are lying 12 points behind the second place competitors. The first non Dutch crew is Riha, Skoland and Postel of Austria in sixth place. In today's last race there were three OCS (false starts).

The final and decisive race is tomorrow with the start scheduled for 12:15hr.
