Beneteau 36.7 North Americans - First Today was first today
by Tim Wilkes on 24 Oct 2010
Beneteau 36.7 North American Championship hosted by the Annapolis Yacht Club.
First Today was first today. They could do no wrong. Every shift went their way. Every tactical move seemed to be an effortless control of the fleet. Zingara and Grizzly have their work cut out for them tomorrow when we go into the final day of the Beneteau 36.7 North American Championship taking place on the Chesapeake Bay, hosted by Annapolis Yacht Club.
While the fleet is small, this highly competitive group would likely take at least the top 10 spots at any North American championship. So the game is on; the best are here and Annapolis is serving up it's best conditions which seem to be a given from mid-September through October.
The breeze has ranged from 10 to 20+ knots and there's been plenty of sunshine over the last three days. Tomorrow should be an exciting finale.
