Antigua Sailing Week - Congratulations to everyone who competed in the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta last weekend! The 24th Annual Regatta had a record entry list of 68 boats.

Antigua Sailing Week will get underway this weekend with the Welcome Party in Event Village in Nelson’s Dockyard starting at 5:00pm on Saturday. Racing will begin at 10:00am on Sunday and there are many fantastic vantage points from which spectators can watch all the action, not least of which is Shirley Heights which will host breakfast for spectators on Sunday morning.

It’s hard to believe that when Antigua Sailing Week is all over in a little over a week’s time, the harbours on the south coast of the island will begin to empty out with many of the bigger boats heading to their summer bases elsewhere on the globe. But that doesn’t mean that the yachting industry in Antigua will die for the summer. There will be an abundance of activityall summer long so stay as long as you can and enjoy all that the beautiful summer season has to offer!

Best of luck to everyone participating in Antigua Sailing Week and for non-participants, don’t miss out on everything the event has to offer shore side – from watching the racing to enjoying the parties! Have fun and be safe!
