Tomorrow, CORK Olympic Classes Regatta kicks off, a must-do event on the North American circuit for many of our Canadian Sailing Team members.

This event acts as the Sail Canada Senior National Championship, the North American Grand Prix (Laser/Radial), and the Sail Canada Windsurfing Youth National Championships. Elite level sailors in various classes including the Laser, Radial, 49er, and FX have spent many weeks training in the windy city of Kingston all culminating at this five day event.

From the Laser squad, Robert Davis, Tom Ramshaw, Lee Parkhill, Greg Clunies and Alex Heinzemann are vying for top spots while the Radials will see Brenda Bowskill, and the Merry sisters, Ingrid and Claire battling in the 35 boat fleet.

The skiff teams set up camp for the duration of the summer in Ktown and have been logging solid hours on the water in preparation for competition. On the 49er front, Ladha and Inkpen along with teammates David Mori/Justin Barnes and Brodeur/Stranix will compete in the 20 boat fleet. The FX fleet continues to grow with 10 boats led by Erin Rafuse/Danielle Boyd and Erin Berry/Lauren Laventure. Included in this five day event, youth windsurfers will battle over the five day event to chase after the youth national windsurfing title.

The Canadian Finn team won't have a presence this year at CORK however wrapped up their training in Kingston last week to head over to Estonia for the 2013 Finn World Championships coming up next week!

All the action and results can be found on the CORK website
