Sailors can now register for the 2010 Route Halifax St-Pierre Ocean Race!
Registration is now available on-line so interested ocean racers can get an early start on preparation for this great international sailing race.
This 5th edition of the 360-nautical mile race from Halifax to St-Pierre starts on July 10, 2010 on the Halifax waterfront off the stern of the HMCS Sackville. Sponsored by the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron and Le Yacht Club de Saint Pierre, the race is held every other year and will finish in France just in time for Bastille day celebrations.
The Route Halifax St-Pierre Ocean Race also serves as a qualifier for other races, and has become one of the pre-eminent ocean races in the North Atlantic.
La Route Halifax Saint-Pierre 2008 est une course océanique de classe mondiale qui se déroule tous les deux ans lors des années paires (en alternance avec la course Marblehead-Halifax) depuis Halifax en Nouvelle Ecosse au Canada et Saint-Pierre, la France au large des magnifiques côtes de Terre-Neuve.
