The Australian 18ft Skiff Championships on Sydney Harbour on Sunday resulted to another dominant win by Thurlow Fisher Lawyers with Gotta Luv it 7 finishing second and Pure Blonde taking the third spot on the podium.

However, the race was very remarkable for a lot of reasons. The emphatic performance of Michael Coxon, Davey O'Connor, and Trent Barnabas to lead around every mark of the SE Course. The dogged fight for the top 6 places and Seve Jarvin, Scott Babbage and Pete Harris on 7's drastic fight for second place in the last 100 mtrs. Pure Blonde's Tom Clout, Matt Wark and Jared Smith eventual fight for third. place to keep out Asko Appliances, Kenwood, and Smeg.

Also, as usual the Manly Ferries appeared together with the James Craig and other square riggers thrown in. But the most dramatic was the Sydney Sea Planes turbo prop Caravan's full power blast through the 18s spinnaker run from Rose Bay, getting the full attention of Dave Ewings, Dan Phillips and Nick Press who had to deal with the full blast of the prop wash.

Pick the Podium was won from the hat by Ric Coxon... Congratulations. Ric made it a double for the Coxons and wins a pair of Barzoptics cool San Juan Floater sunnies and takes the Bragging Rights
for the week.
