Oceanbridge Sail Auckland has announced a package of prizes worth over $10,000 for the 2014 regatta that will see the top performers in selected youth classes and two lucky volunteers well rewarded.

The substantial prize pool for youth sailors has been made possible thanks to the contributions of a group of generous individuals interested in seeing the regatta continue to grow and attract young sailors for world class competition here in New Zealand.

Simon Manning, Oceanbridge Sail Auckland Regatta Director says; 'A key part of what Oceanbridge Sail Auckland is all about is bringing New Zealand’s young sailing talent through and giving them the opportunity to compete in a top quality regatta here in New Zealand. Not only do they get the chance to observe and rub shoulders with the NZL Sailing Team’s Olympic heroes and world champions, but the 2014 prize package gives the youth sailors an extra incentive to sail to their potential.'

'And without our sponsors, supporters and our huge team of volunteers who put in long hours and take pride in their work the regatta simply wouldn’t be possible. It’s great to know that two of our hard working volunteer team will get a nice surprise at the end of the regatta.'

Sailors intending to sail at 2014 Oceanbridge Sail Auckland should enter on line now to give the organising team the best opportunity to plan some of the important details like courses, catering and resource allocation.
