2014 RPNYC Moore Wilson Winter Series Paul Davies
The Team at RPNYC is delighted to announce that one of the club’s longest supporters is back supporting one of the club’s most popular events!

Regatta Director Paul Davies is delighted to have long-time sponsor Moore Wilson’s back on board. 'The 2014 Moore Wilson’s Winter Series is the jewel in Wellington’s winter season and will kick off on the weekend of the 14-15th June. We have kept what the competitors love about the Winter Series and have added a little something fresh this year.'

'As principal sponsor of the event – the team at Moore Wilson’s are providing $6000.00 worth of support to the event. Alongside them we have regular sponsor Chris Coad providing stunning prizes and photographic services. We are also delighted to welcome Bud Nalder Sails into the RPNYC family as a supporter of the all new Classic Yacht Series' says Paul.

The Moore Wilson’s Winter Series is unique in that it delivers three separate series catering for every type of yachting imaginable.

Sunday Fully Crewed Series
A 5 race series sailed every second Sunday from 15 June giving Wellington yachties a mix of laid windward/leeward course, plus a couple of harbour courses thrown in for good measure!

Two Handed PHRF Series
It seems that a 3 race series was not enough for some last year. The crews wanted more – and more they shall have! A full 5 race series to be run on the Saturday of the Sunday series starting at 1030hours.

Classic Yacht Series:
No-one likes a show off – and lets be fair – our city is blessed to have an amazing fleet of classic yachts that puts our newer boats to shame!

To save any further embarrassment we have dedicated an entire series to the classic yachts.

Every Saturday, running alongside the two handed series, the classic yachts will have their own battle – beauty and speed – WOW! All of this coupled with a brand new trophy that will be presented at the final prize giving.
