Here in Australia, while the weather on the Australian East Coast continues to be dominated by northern monsoons and east coast lows, the locals are still managing to get some sailing in.

The 18 footer Worlds, the JJ Giltinan continues on Sydney Harbour today. The Australian 505 Nationals started yesterday and the NSW Flying Elevens finished on Sunday.

You might have noticed a surge in sailing news from Tasmania, has quite a bit to do with the fact that veteran yachting journalist Peter Campbell, has relocated back to Hobart. This weekend Peter will be reporting on the 2009 Crown Series Bellerive Regatta, now one of the biggest regattas in Australia.
