Sailing Instructions and Course Diagrams now available on-line

Sailing Instructions and Course Diagrams are now available online as a pdf file at www.kingscup.com

Printed Sailing Instructions along with a laminated course book will be available at registration, which is held at Race Headquarters, Kata Beach Resort & Spa from 10:00 on Saturday 30th November 2013.

Additional copies of the Sailing Instructions will be available at the Skippers Briefing, which will be held at 16:30 on Sunday 1st December 2013 in the Ballroom at the Kata Beach Resort & Spa.

For those in IRC Classes, please note the Crew limitations as listed in the NOR and Sailing Instructions.

Official Crew weighing will take place at the registration room and crew weights will be published on the official notice board.

CREW LIMITATIONS
For IRC 0, IRC 1 and IRC 2 Classes, the crew weight of yachts shall not exceed 85kg multiplied by the Crew Number printed on the certificate.

For all other classes IRC 22.4.2 is deleted and replaced by “The maximum number of crew that may sail aboard a yacht shall be as detailed below. There is no weight limit.”

About the Phuket King's Cup Regatta – Asia’s legendary yacht race under Royal Patronage

Inaugurated in 1987 to celebrate the 60th birthday of His Majesty the King of Thailand, the event has been held every year since, during the first week of December.

Under Royal Patronage, the Phuket King's Cup Regatta is organized by the Phuket King's Cup Regatta Organizing Committee under the auspices of the Royal Varuna Yacht Club, in conjunction with the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand, the Royal Thai Navy and the Province of Phuket.

The Phuket King’s Cup Regatta will be held from November 29 to 6 December, 2013.
