Regattas are great holiday fun

All around the Asia Pacific sailing events have become major destination tourism events, as event organisers work hard on the fun factor, combining that with professional race management and delivering value for event sponsors.



Sail Port Stephens is one such event that is continually lifting the bar, is getting glowing testimonials from owners and crews and is being rewarded with rapid growth. It would not surprise to see this event right at the top of tree in years to come, right now Port Stephens needs another 200 marina berths. A nice problem to have.

Airlie Beach Race Week 2012 entries are coming in very fast will be an amazing fleet this year.

SeaLink Magnetic Island Race Week looks set for another great year, with a Food Wine and Music festival being integrated into this event August 30th- September 4th. Now if you’ve not been before this is a Gem of a regatta – a Must Do.

Are we biased? Yes, we are heavily involved with all these events and lots more.

Switching to high performance dinghy racing – great news from Hyeres in France where Aussies lead in four classes.

The upcoming Olympics and Paralympics sailing regatta are going to be exciting for Australia, could this be our best ever Summer Games in sailing?

The Laser Radial Youth and Mens World Championship are coming up fast at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron. 28th June 4th July and 11-17th July respectively. Incredibly the ILCA has still not released the NOR and opened online entries but they have promised to do that tonight.
