The RS200 and RS800 Fat Face Circuit kicks off this weekend (5/6 April) at Datchet Water Sailing Club. The first starts are scheduled for 13:00hrs on Saturday, with a briefing at 12.15hrs. Six races are scheduled over the weekend.

The RS200 circuit is one of the biggest in the country with over 150 boats competing last year, with each event regularly attracting over 50 boats. There are seven events following the standard format (three races a day over a Windward-Leeward course) and the sprint champs. Five Events to count.

Thanks to the generous Fat Face sponsorship and the use of Gold, Silver and Bronze fleets, there are great prizes throughout the fleet both for each event and overall. There’s an added incentive to attend the circuit events this year, with the top ten after the sprint champs (three to count) getting an entry to the Fat Face Night Sail in July. Watch this space for more news on this existing new event.

The weekend is shared with the RS800’s, and with most of the other adult RS classes joining us at Datchet on Saturday night for a monster party, it promises to be a great start to the season.

Also sponsored by Fat Face is the the RS Racing Anniversary Regatta over the holiday weekend May 3 to 5 at Hayling Island SC. The event is open to the following RS classes: RS200, RS300, RS400, RS500, RS600, RS700, RS800, RS Feva, RS Vision, RS Vareo and RS K6.
