Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club (RHKYC) will this weekend play host to over 100 one-design keelboats and big boats in the eastern reaches of Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour at its annual Autumn Regatta. With a pedigree dating back to 1889, the Regatta is the first major event of RHKYC’s 2012-2013 sailing season, and consists of a two-day, three race ‘around the cans’ series, open to entries from throughout Hong Kong.

Race 1 will get underway with the Division 2 Big Boats at 1350hrs on Saturday, while Race 2 starts at 1110hrs on Sunday, with Race 3 following immediately after. The courses to be sailed will be set by the Race Officer on the day, taking into consideration the prevailing wind and tidal conditions in the Harbour.

Supported by a raft of sponsors, including McLaren, SHK Private, Canaletto and Small Luxury Hotels of the World, the Regatta prizegiving will be held on Sunday evening after racing has been completed and results finalised, and will feature brands Laurent Perrier champagne, Bacardi and Carlsberg to help the party go with a swing.

Race documents including Notice of Race, Sailing Instructions and Big Boat Pre-entry From can be found at http://www.rhkyc.org.hk/AutumnRegatta.aspx
