Another beautiful day in Qingdao; the winds were not bad and Doug Charko, our team meteorologist (from Sask but lives in NZ) was bang on with his predictions. The racing concluded in the Star class for the Olympics for Iain Murray and I three days ago. We finished the event in 14th. To finish anywhere other than the top three at the Olympics is all ultimately the same - IE: not a medal winner. To finish behind the best sailors in the world (and to compete as one of them) is not something to be negative about. ...
