Northshore Nationals at RMYC Toronto, Lake Macquarie

by Rod Mackay RMYC Toronto Publicity Officer on 26 Jun 2012
NS33's Crossing tacks - Nothshore Nationals at Lake Macquarie Rod Mackay
The Sailing Committee at Lake Macquarie’s RMYC Toronto are pleased to announce invitations for the third Australian Championships for Northshore Yachts.

Being billed as the 'the Hammo Race Week for Northshores, but a lot easier to get to!' the event will again feature spinnaker and non spinnaker divisions, and one design starts in classes that attract entries of five or more.

Eligible yachts include all Northshore models; Cole 19, 23 and Santanas built by Northshore Yachts.

The regatta will be staged this year on August 17-19, giving visiting yachts time to get their boats home for the start of their spring season.

We are looking at sourcing boats for interstate competitors who may wish to compete but not be able to transport their boat for the two day event.

It is hoped the Nationals will expand in years to come to a three or four day competition; and given the pristine location this will no doubt eventuate.

There will be a buffet style dinner with entertainment on the Saturday night, with the prizegiving presentation being held on the Sunday afternoon after racing is complete.

For more information and Sailing Instructions for the event, please phone RMYC Toronto Sailing Committee on
