Skippers Dona Bertarelli and Yann Guichard explain the modifications made to the Maxi Trimaran Spindrift 2 in their attempt to break the Transatlantic record.
With a shorter mast and weight reduction they hope to sail more with full sail and no reefs to gain the advantage in speed, over Banque Populaire V time. They are now awaiting the right weather window and for the iceburgs to move out of their planned route.
