Last Chance . . . Thailand + Your Fireball = World

You thought it was to late! well this is your final chance to grab a container spot for the 2008 Fireball Worlds Championships.

Just two spots remain in the final UK container for this years Championship. Taking place in March at the fabulous Royal Veruna Yacht Club, Pattaya, Thailand. If you haven't a boat we also have a helm who is looking for a crew!

If you want to join in and spend 2 weeks sailing in the sun and you want to get a boat, then go to the UK Fireball site now as there are a number of boats for sale. But be quick as boats will be departing later in January.

In addition to strong contingents from the UK and Australia, boats from France, Canada, Japan, Ireland, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Belgium and Slovenia are expected, as well as the local Thai fireballers, and it is hoped others from Singapore and Malaysia. Numbers are expected to climb over the next few months to around 80 boats.

Now it's time for some well-deserved rest, exploring the island and repairs The eight Class40 boats competing in the second leg of Globe40 have arrived in Réunion. It was a long, intense and demanding leg from Cape Verde, which these outstanding sailors completed with flying colours.

Big Open Day crowds for Lake Samsonvale WSA
Over 280 people flocked to the LSWSA clubhouse and grassed lake foreshore Cars started flooding into the Lake Samsonvale Water Sports Association from eight O'clock on Sunday morning and kept volunteers busy directing traffic until late afternoon as the grassed and treed parking areas around the club house filled.
