King's Cup windsurfers congratulated

Windsurfing Association of Thailand led by its Vice President, Vice Admiral Sarayut Daengted, together with Captain Kritsada Rattanasupa, the Royal Thai Navy’’s Phuket-based Third Area Internal Security Operations Command, and Watchara Wichithong, Sport Technician of Windsurfing Association of Thailand, together with winning windsurfers at the Phuket King’s Cup Windsurfing Championship as part of the 27th Phuket King’s Cup Regatta, after they received their memorial awards at the prize-giving party held at Kata Beach Resort & Spa, Phuket. The 27th Phuket King’s Cup Regatta, held from November 29 to 6 December, 2013, featured windsurfing once more as a competitive class, attracting a large number of international competitors. Thai windsurfers performed strongly in the class, finishing ahead of all international rivals.

About the Phuket King's Cup Regatta – Asia’s legendary yacht race under Royal Patronage
Inaugurated in 1987 to celebrate the 60th birthday of His Majesty the King of Thailand, the event has been held every year since, during the first week of December.
Under Royal Patronage, the Phuket King's Cup Regatta is organized by the Phuket King's Cup Regatta Organizing Committee under the auspices of the Royal Varuna Yacht Club, in conjunction with the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand, the Royal Thai Navy and the Province of Phuket.
