Interview with Santi Kanchanabandhu

Our interview is with Santi Kanchanabandhu, President of the 20th Phuket King’s Cup Regatta Organsing Committee, who arranged another successful week, both on the water with 13 divisions in a record fleet of 102 yachts, including the special Sail past in honour of HM the King for his 79th Birthday on the 5th of December, and off the water including the Candle lighting ceremony for HM's Birthday at Mom Tri Boat House.

We asked him first how special it was this year.

When is a RIB not RIB, nor dayboat, nor adventure craft? When it is an ADV from Highfield... You know, you would have to think so… Yes, they are dayboats. They're also adventure craft, which is why Highfield calls them the ADV7 and ADV9. Problem is, Highfield themselves call them RIBs, and as best as I can tell, they're actually not.
