Images from Alicante, by top international photographer, Ian Roman, of some of the fleet sailing and dockside at the Volvo Ocean Race Legends regatta showing how the race and boats have changed over the period of the Whitbread Round the World race and latterly Volvo Ocean Race.

Hull shapes vary from the old International Offshore Rule to the various renditions of the Volvo 60 and Volvo 70 rule used in the latter races.

Plus there's some of the great boats from previous races - all still sailing and with active racing careers
