ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami - Miami YC sailors to compete

2014 ISAF Sailing World Cup Miami, to be held from January 27 to February 1, returns to the waters of Biscayne Bay, bringing together the world's top Olympic and Paralympic class competitors. Marking the 25th running of the event, the regatta is the North American highlight on the winter circuit for sailors who are campaigning for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Organized by US Sailing, the event is the third stop of the ISAF Sailing World Cup, an annual, world-class series for Olympic and Paralympic sailing.

The regatta is open to the events and equipment chosen by ISAF for the 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Sailing Competitions, which will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from August 5-21, and September 7-18, respectively. The 10 Olympic classes are: Laser Radial (women), Laser (men), Finn (men), Men's RS:X, Women's RS:X, 49er (men), Men's 470, Women's 470, Nacra 17 (mixed) and 49er FX (women). Paralympic classes included in the 2014 regatta are: 2.4mR (open, able and disabled), SKUD-18 (mixed crew, disabled) and Sonar (open, disabled).

MYC Sailors Sarah Newberry/John Casey (Nacra 17), Katie Flood (Nacra 17), David Hein (Nacra 17) and Raul Lopez (RSX-Men Windsurfer) will compete.
