Gold, bronze and Championships galore

Welcome to another big week of summer sailing.

The Laser Radial World Championships are underway in Largs, Scotland, the 470 Worlds are about to begin with Nic Asher and Elliot Willis aiming for their third title while Sarah Ayton and Saskia Clark are sailing their first 470 Worlds together. Congratulations to Chris Draper and Peter Greenhalgh who nabbed the gold at the 49er Europeans, while Stevie Morrison and Ben Rhodes finished with a bronze.

Ben Ainslie took the honours at Match Cup Sweden, the Clipper fleet started Race 13 from Cork, Ireland, Simon Payne leads the Moth Nationals, the Westward Cup Regatta was held in Cowes and the IFDS Worlds are underway in Holland with Paralympians Alexandra Rickham and Niki Birrell defending their Skud 18 title.

Internationally the scene is just as busy with the Youth Worlds underway, the Opti Europeans finishing, the F18 Worlds concluding, the B14 Europeans finishing and the Worlds about to start .... well you will have to read all about these stories and much more in the latest edition of our Sail-World UK newsletter.
