Discover Sailing Day 2013 - Southport Yacht Club - paving the way

by Bronwen Ince on 8 Feb 2013
SW
The Discover Sailing Day at Southport Yacht Club is aimed at increasing public awareness in sailing, especially amongst children, promoting the message: Sailing is for Everyone - it can be cheap, simple, safe and fun.

The event is open to everyone, with children given the opportunity to 'go for a sail', under the guidance of qualified instructors. Buoyancy vests and all sailing equipment is provided. Children will need to bring swimmers, hat, sunscreen, towel, old sandshoes and a desire to have fun!

Parents can relax under the Southport Yacht Clubhouse patio whilst watching the kids sailing. $10 breakfast will be available from the Club's cafe from 7.30am.

All welcome, bring your friends. Five aquatic memberships to be Southport Yacht Club
